A quick programming note – there will be no Music & Movement class this Friday, Dec 7th but not too worry – Tamara will be bringing the funk back next week (her words actually)!
There are many wonderful moments that just happen at the museum (one of the joys of working there) and this was one just last week. Twin brothers had helped out with creating some ornaments for our wreath that will be part of the 12th Annual Christmas Tree Auction this coming Sunday and then went back to exploring in the museum. They quickly dug into the sand in the “Dig Site” exhibit and were very focused on finding all of the bones that were buried there. They combined their efforts and mixed their styles and had uncovered about half of them after a few minutes when I heard “we can’t do anything but not stop digging!” And not stop they did until all six corners and the bottom of the sand box were unearthed and all the bones recovered.Read More
As of Friday, October 26th we “officially” ended the fall sessions of all our programs and while some may say boo to that, the good news is that all of them: Spanish Immersion for Homeschoolers, Preschool Spanish, Messy Hands and Music & Movement will be carrying on at least into December!
Days and times are as follows:
- Spanish Immersion for Homeschoolers – Tuesdays & Thursdays, 11:00am till noon
- Messy Hands – Wednesdays, 10:30am till noon
- Preschool Spanish – Thursdays, 10:30am till 11:00am
- Music & Movement – Fridays, 10:30am till 11:00am
Here’s a general weekly calendar to visually maps out the times.
All programs, with the exception of Spanish Immersion for Homeschoolers, are free with museum admission or membership (donations for art supplies are welcome and greatly appreciated). Flyers and any additional information for each program are found on our Programs and Classes page.
Hope to see old and new friends alike joining us for these great morning activities!Read More
Before we get to the details let me say in advance – Thank you for your patience and support as work to provide the right mix of activities and the right schedule the works with as many of the other local activities as possible. Unfortunately one of our favorites, Messy Hands, has been affected as we work the mix and scheduling but we are hoping that the ol’ third time’s the charm.
So with all that, Messy Hands is sliding over to Wednesday mornings, from 10:30am to 12:00pm starting this week (Oct 10th). The 1 1/2 hour time slot will hopefully give everyone a wider window
to drop in and enjoy the freeform and messy fun even if you have something else earlier in the morning. Thanks again for your support and hope to see you there!
